Blu & Improved
The newly renovated Blu Bar & Grill has reopened just in time for summer.
AFTER CLOSING TEMPORARILY for renovations and menu
enhancements to improve customer experience, Blu Bar & Grill at
the Newstead Belmont Hills Resort has reopened with a bang, and
in plenty of time to cater both to locals and the upcoming influx of
America’s Cup fans from around the world. With an award-winning
wine list, widely appealing cuisine range and magnificent views of the
Great Sound, this acclaimed Warwick restaurant has revamped itself
with several exciting changes sure to please the most discerning palettes
and appreciators of distinctive ambience.
For lovers of sushi and small plates, the proprietors of Blu have re-
vamped the Soho Bar, a New York-style boutique area of the restaurant
designed with long, modern couching and an open concept design for
diners to fully appreciate their vibrant surroundings.
Two of Blu’s more ambitious upgrades include the 9th Hole, a private
dining room overlooking the attached golf course’s attractive 9th hole,
and the American Deck, an outdoor dining area with the best views of
Hamilton Harbour and the Great Sound available on the premises. The
latter will prove to be one of the best vantage points for viewing all of
the upcoming sailing races to be held over the next year.
Having originally focused primarily on Southwestern-style food, their
updated menu includes everything from a raw bar and fusion appetizers
to Italian and Asian dishes, truly providing something for everyone. They
even serve classic Ossetra caviar on ice for those looking to splurge, and
are known for putting on a lavishly satisfying Sunday brunch.
