From the Crow’s Nest | ON THE TOWN
Recipe serves two people; double or
triple the recipe to feed a larger group
1 1/2 cup cooked and chopped lobster
1/4 cup coconut yogurt (dairy free) or
organic Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons good quality olive oil
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tablespoons chives
1 1/2 teaspoons honey
3 tablespoons chopped red onion
1/2 cup celery, sliced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
In a mixing bowl, add all of the in-
gredients except the lobster. Mix until
completely combined and taste. Add
another pinch of sea salt if necessary
and then toss in the lobster meat. If you
like larger pieces, keep your lobster meat
pieces chunky when you chop it. Taste
the salad; you should be able to enjoy the
lemon and herbs whilst still being able to
taste the lobster. Garnish with any extra
chives, lemon zest and black pepper.
If you are serving with greens, Bermy
Fresh salad mix and sprouts are delicious, local and fresh. If you prefer the
salad in a roll, brioche is a classic but
white, whole wheat and gluten free are
all options, too.
Refrigerate and serve cold. Enjoy!
Time for Tapas
WALKING INTO THE NEW TAPAS CLUB on Bermudiana Road one immediately feels
transported to Spain. The décor is distinctly Spanish with golden yellows and bold reds on the
walls along with dramatic images highlighting Spanish traditions. One can take a seat at an inti-
mate table for two, scope the scene by the charcuterie bar or join one of the festive group tables.
The outside terrace, framed in breezy white drapes and dotted with colourful cushions, provides
a lively spot to relax.
The Tapas Club opens in the afternoon so one can drop by for a drink, snack or a full meal,
with service through to midnight. A variety of small plates on the casual and affordable menu
is ideal for sharing and includes crowd-pleasers such as specialty meat and cheese boards. The
seafood paella and crostini de arandano rojo brie and ham are a must!
No tapas bar would be complete without sangria (red and white), both sold by the glass
or jug. The predominately Spanish wine list also features wines from other notable regions.
Spanish-inspired cocktails, made exclusively by the resident mixologist, are a must although
other classic cocktails are on offer.
The Tapas Club is located at 12 Bermudiana Road, Hamilton. Open Monday–Friday, 4: 30 p.m.
to midnight; Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Tel: 296-3330
